A Little Help Can Make the Day More Manageable

Sometimes the hardest part is knowing when to ask for help. A parent may insist everything is fine, while you notice fewer cooked meals, piles of washing or growing difficulty with safely getting ready each morning.

Home care can begin with the tasks your loved one wants help managing. We talk about their habits, family support and preferred schedule. Together, we outline assistance that respects their choices and helps share the workload.

South Barrington includes homes in subdivisions and outside them. Share your street address, entrance details and any visitor instructions so we can discuss care arrangements for your loved one’s home.

Home Care Services for Your Daily Needs

Personal Care

Patient assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and approved mobility needs. We respect privacy, explain tasks and encourage the client to take part wherever they feel able and comfortable.

Hourly, Overnight, 24-Hour and Live-In Care

Some families need short visits; others need overnight or ongoing support. We discuss hourly, overnight, 24-hour and live-in arrangements, including staffing and caregiver rest requirements. The plan reflects the client's daily needs, requested hours and the caregivers available locally.

Noticing When Everyday Needs Begin to Change

You may wonder how your loved one manages between family visits. Caregivers pay attention to everyday activities during scheduled support and notice when familiar tasks become difficult. Sharing these observations can help families decide whether to discuss changes in the plan. We follow the agreed update arrangements and share relevant observations. Families can discuss concerns with the client’s healthcare provider and review support needs.

Food and meal routines

We notice changes in appetite, unfinished meals or difficulty keeping up with daily eating routines.

Getting around at home

We observe whether movement, dressing or other tasks seem to require some additional assistance.

Conversation and interests

We notice changes in familiar activities, engagement and usual daily habits.

Patient Support for Days Affected by Dementia

Memory difficulties can affect more than remembering names. A loved one may need reassurance, help starting a task or support following familiar routines. Our non-medical care addresses these needs.

We learn what feels familiar, which activities bring comfort and how the person prefers to communicate. These details help shape a care plan and guide caregiver matching.

Certified Dementia Practitioners Chris Breneman and Diane Robertson bring their knowledge to planning and matching. Support remains focused on the individual, habits and preferences.
