The cost of home care should be easy to understand. At Ease in the Home, pricing is based on the client’s needs, care schedule and type of support. We learn about the case before giving a final quote. Our standard hourly rate usually ranges from $36 to $42 per hour. Live-in care usually ranges from $500 to $600. The written quote will explain the time period and services covered by the live-in rate. Care for couples may change these rates because the caregiver may be supporting two people with different needs.
Hourly care may be a good choice for clients who need help during certain parts of the day or on selected days each week. The final hourly rate depends on the needs of the case and the type of support required.
Live-in care may be considered when a client needs support through much of the day and night. The final price depends on the schedule, care needs and live-in arrangement. Your written quote will explain what time period the rate covers.
Couples care is priced based on the needs of both people. The rate may change when one caregiver is helping two clients in the same home.
No two care plans are exactly the same. One client may only need companionship and meal preparation. Another may need more hands-on help with bathing, dressing and safe movement. The care schedule also affects the cost. A few visits each week will cost differently than daily or live-in care.
The final price may be affected by the amount of support needed, the number of care hours, whether one or two people need care and whether the family chooses hourly or live-in service. We review these details before giving the family a clear quote.
The examples below use the standard hourly range of $36-$42. They are estimates only. Your actual cost will depend on the approved schedule and final hourly rate. These examples do not apply to live-in care or couples care.

Hourly home care is based on an agreed care plan. Depending on the client’s needs, a caregiver may help with companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, appointments, movement and medication reminders.
The caregiver may also provide support with daily routines and help the client remain active and involved at home.
Ease in the Home provides non-medical home care. Our caregivers and CNAs do not replace doctors, nurses, therapists or other medical providers.
We do not give every family the same plan or price
We begin with a conversation about the client’s needs, daily routine, home and current support. You can tell us what has changed, what tasks have become difficult and when help may be needed.
We look at the type of help required and the best schedule for the client. We may discuss personal care, movement, meals, memory loss, household tasks and family concerns.
We explain the type of caregiver, number of care hours and schedule that may work for the case. Some clients may need a professional caregiver. Others may benefit from a Certified Nursing Assistant.
When two people need care in the same home, the rate may change. We review the needs of both clients and explain the final price before care begins.
After reviewing the case, we provide the proposed rate and explain what the care plan covers. Families can ask questions before deciding whether to move forward.
Hourly care and live-in care meet different needs.
Hourly care may work well when the client needs help during set times. For example, a caregiver may visit in the morning, during meals or on certain days each week.
Live-in care may be a better fit when the client needs support for much of the day and night.
Live-in care is not always the same as 24-hour awake care. A live-in plan may include agreed rest or sleep periods. Around-the-clock awake care may require more than one caregiver working in shifts.

No. Ease in the Home provides non-medical home care. Our caregivers and CNAs do not provide medical diagnosis or replace licensed medical providers.
